Junior Claims Handler

Looking to start or grow your career in insurance? An out-of-town insurance firm is seeking a junior Claims Handler to join a customer-focused team either in Guernsey or Jersey, gaining hands-on claims experience, building industry knowledge, and supporting customers throughout the claims process in a collaborative, professional office environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handling insurance claims in line with company procedures and compliance requirements
• Building strong relationships with customers, colleagues, underwriters, and external providers
• Prioritising workloads effectively and meeting deadlines
• Contributing ideas to improve processes and ways of working
• Maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders
• Continuing to develop technical knowledge and professional skills

Key Criteria:

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Previous customer-facing or telephone-based experience
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Willingness to study towards professional insurance qualifications
