A progressive professional services organisation is seeking a Human Capital Manager to lead employee relations, wellbeing, absence, and people policy strategy across Guernsey or Jersey, with occasional travel between islands.

Key Role:

  • Leading ER processes and advising on policy with clarity and sound judgement.
  • Developing modern, compliant people policies that support a forward‑thinking culture.
  • Creating wellbeing initiatives that boost employee health and balance.
  • Managing sickness, parental leave, extended leave, and flexible working.
  • Coaching managers to enhance people‑leadership capability.
  • Collaborating across HR teams to deliver smooth, effective people solutions.

Key Criteria:

  • Strong background in ER and the full employee lifecycle.
  • Good understanding of local employment legislation.
  • Experience supporting wellbeing initiatives.
  • Confident using HR systems for process improvement and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent.
  • Coaching, leadership development, or policy experience (desirable).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities professionally and discreetly.
