In his latest newsletter, recruitment expert Greg Savage states:
"AI and automation are making recruitment much worse for all parties right now. Candidates can ‘game the system’ using tools to create resumes and cover letters and auto-apply while asleep.... and recruiters are using unreliable tech to do their jobs. It will improve in time, but all this hype about AI streamlining and improving recruitment is miles from reality."
We agree with the above right now. AI is not there yet. With recruitment, both the candidate and client need a truly personal service and strong relationships to make the right job match for all concerned, for the long term.
At Situations, because our consultants don't work on individual commission, we can and do offer that personal service and we take time to build strong relationships with our clients and candidates to really find out what makes them tick and what their goals and aspirations are, for the good of both sides.
Yes, of course we use current tech in our business, but what hasn't changed is the personal touch - you can't beat a face to face relationship and assessment in recruitment.
