Gemma Le Page
Assistant Manager, Permanent & Temps
I have a background in sales, having helped to run the commercial family business for several years. I have also spent time in administration in the finance sector. During my career, I’ve completed various professional qualifications relevant to my roles. Having temped for Situations in the past, I had always wanted to work in recruitment. I joined this agency in 2019 and am now Assistant Manager of Permanent & Temps, placing permanent candidates at every level and overseeing our Temps desk. I am a member of the REC UK, having passed the REC Certificate in Recruitment Practice.
Here at Situations we feel it is vital that Guernsey’s future workforce be as prepared as possible for the world of work. For the last few years I have been going into several local secondary schools and colleges, as well as the Guernsey Institute/College of Further Education, to offer a helping hand by giving students careers advice. From educational presentations on the various areas of the finance sector, to C.V. Writing workshops and Interview Skills training, these classes not only help the students feel more prepared when leaving full time education, but also give them the confidence to reach out and take their first steps towards their permanent career.
When I’m not working, I love to be socialising with my husband, son, friends and family, I enjoy good food, good wine and good company - any excuse to have a full house filled with love and laughter at the weekends is my idea of heaven! When I’m not busy entertaining, I am supporting my husband in all of the motor sports he participates in by cheering him on from the sidelines, then when all is done and dusted I love to put my feet up in front of the fire and relax.
