We’ve recently received the latest monthly UK Report on Jobs from the REC UK and KPMG, and the British job market is looking a lot more positive!
The report shows:
- Temp placement growth remains amongst the quickest since early 2023.
- Stronger increase in salaries for both permanent and temp staff.
- Temp vacancies rise for the first time in 2 years.
In Guernsey employment, we’re seeing a similar, very positive picture. New office vacancies are flooding in here at Situations, both permanent and temporary, including executive level roles, and the salaries being offered are competitive.
Particular areas of growth are Trust, with some new players entering the local scene, and Compliance continues to be a huge growth field with a strong range of vacancies available at senior/top level.
The insurance industry remains buoyant, and support office staff are still very much in demand locally, despite fast developments in technology.
With hundreds of roles available on our books at present, and an influx of quality new candidates searching for work, the Guernsey job scene continues to be busy and optimistic.
