Financial Risk Manager

An international bank is in need of a Financial Risk Manager, to assist the Chief Risk Officer and the Country Risk Officer with the reporting and monitoring of all financial risks, such as credit, market and investment risk, in accordance with the Bank’s policies and procedures. They will be responsible for assisting with the implementation and maintenance of an efficient and appropriate Financial Risk Management framework within the Bank.

The role holder will also be responsible for the day to day management of financial risk (i.e. credit, investment and market risk) but excluding non-financial risk (operational risk) within the Bank.

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated outgoing individual who can work independently as well as collaboratively with senior and more junior colleagues, have prior experience of working with senior external counterparts – lawyers, regulators and auditors and have previous experience managing a team.

One or more of the following qualifications would be desirable:

  • A suitable banking qualification to first degree level eg ACIB/ALIBF 
  • An appropriate risk management qualification eg GARP FRM
  • CeMAP or DipMAP in mortgage advice and practice
