Recruitment Industry Trends Report 2017

The REC www.rec.uk.com have again provided their annual Recruitment Industry Trends Report and some key findings are:-

• Total recruitment industry turnover UK for 2016/17 was £32.2 billion.
• £28.2 billion of that was temp/contract recruitment.
• The average number of temps/contractors working on any one given day in 2016/17 was 1.3 million.
• The total number of staff employed in the UK recruitment industry was over 100,000.

The REC feels that the forecast for recruitment for the next 3 years remains positive.

Here in Guernsey we’re seeing a similar positive picture for recruitment in 2017, we’ve had a huge number and range of permanent placements this year, our Temp Desk has been very busy and we’re also optimistic for 2018.
